Dr. Dallas Jackson

LEAP & PAInT Consultant | UCF Principal Investigator| St Petersburg, Florida

Dallas Cooper Jackson, Ed.D., M.F.A., is an educator, researcher, artist, and community leader with over three decades of experience advancing equity, innovation, and interdisciplinary learning.

Dr. Jackson has led transformative educational initiatives as a principal, district leader, and Coordinator of the Public Works Academy at Pinellas Technical College, where he builds workforce pathways and community partnerships. His extensive research addresses critical issues such as student achievement, equity in discipline, STEM access, and dropout prevention, often focusing on underrepresented populations.

Dr. Jackson was recognized for advancing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education through transformative school leadership. As principal of Thurgood Marshall Fundamental Middle School, he developed and expanded a nationally recognized STEAM model that integrated arts and humanities into core academic subjects. His work included building interdisciplinary curricula, expanding advanced coursework, and creating partnerships that enhanced student achievement and engagement.

A nationally engaged arts advocate, Dr. Jackson serves as a consultant and subject matter expert for federally funded arts integration grants, including the $8.5 million REACH initiative, supporting K–12 curriculum development and teacher training. His artistic practice—highlighted by exhibitions such as Bête Noire: The Migrant and the Mendicant—explores social justice, history, and cultural identity while engaging diverse audiences.

Deeply committed to community engagement, Dr. Jackson has secured and managed numerous grants, mentored emerging artists, and partnered with organizations to expand access to arts, education, and career opportunities for underserved populations.
